As one of the hardest hitting bands in the heavy metal scene, Five Finger Death Punch (also initialized as 5FDP or FFDP), continues to bring skull pounding riffs and rhythms and aggressive, piercing vocals to the masses. Formed in 2005, the group derived their name from their love of classic martial arts cinema. Based in Los Angeles, California, the band consists of vocalist Ivan Moody, guitarists Zoltán Báthory and Jason Hook, drummer Jeremy Spencer and bassist Chris Kael (Kael replaced Matt Snell in 2011).
5FDP released their debut album, The Way of the Fist, in 2007. The band gained rapid success, with three singles driving the record, “The Bleeding”, “Never Enough” and “Stranger Than Fiction”. After multiple re-releases domestically and internationally, Jason Hook joined the band as a replacement for Darrell Roberts.

The album debuted at number 7 on the Billboard 200 and has been certified gold by the RIAA. During March 2010, Five Finger Death Punch traveled to Iraq and played 10 shows for the United States troops. The shows in Iraq were extremely energetic and the love and admiration that the troops show these metal behemoths was mutually felt and expressed by the band members.
