Greatest Music Artist Icons...

Quickly, list the top three most iconic musical artists! Chances are Bob Marley, Elvis, The Beatles, and maybe Johnny Cash showed up on the list. Nowadays when you look in a teenage girl’s bedroom you’ll probably see Justin Bieber’s picture on the ceiling, with One Direction hanging out on at least two of the walls, but we know that that isn’t “real” music. Bob Marley sold one-hundred and fifty million records, and is famously known for getting shot two days before a performance and still performing two days later saying. “”The people that are making this world worse don’t take a day off, how can I?”. The Beatles sold over 500 million records with songs like Let It Be and I Wanna Hold Your Hand that are recognizable even to the younger generation. Even the newer bands like One Direction seem to be trying to copy them. (http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m4pnlxGThC1qa35d1o1_500.jpg). Elvis Presley sold over one-billion records almost beating out Michael Jackson, and the Beatles combined. He is still famously remembered for the many conspiracy theories about him not really being dead, how he really just wanted some quite time away from the world and just faked his own death. Some theories even go so far as to say that he wasn’t even human. As quoted by Tommy Lee Jones in Men In Black “Elvis never died, he just went home” implying that he was from another world. Southern Hard Rockers Sevendust Still Making Soul Piercing Music...

Hailing from Atlanta  GA, the alternative-heavy metal rock group Sevendust date their beginnings back to 1994.  The quintet continues to pump out the highly energized, emotional, rhythmic and guitar driven jams they have since then, they have just gotten better with age.  Consisting of Lajun Whiterspoon (lead vocals). Clint Lowery (guitar/vocals), Morgan Rose (drums/vocals), Vince Hornsby (bass) and John Connolly (guitar/vocals), they consider themselves a brotherhood (they even named their record label 7Bros. Records) and this family like closeness comes through in their music. Sevendust released their self-titled debut album in April of 1997, with such singles as “Black” and “Bitch”.  Though it garnered little critical acclaim or commercial success (it took nearly a year to crack the Billboard 200, peaking at#165), it laid the groundwork for a very fan base that would last throughout their career.  After Sevendust, they released their sophomore effort, Home in August of 1999.  Home received much better success, peaking the Billboard charts at #19.  It had the singles “Denial”, “Waffle” and “Licking Cream” feat. Skin of Skunk Anasie.  In November 2001, the band released their third album, Animosity.  The single “Angel’s Son”, a dedication to the deceased frontman of Snot, Lynn Strait, is considered one of the bands best works to date.   Seasons, the bands fourth album, was released in October 2003.  Though it debuted at #14 in the Billboard chart, and the single “Enemy” peaked at #10 (their highest single to date) the album failed to receive gold certification.  For fans of the band, this was their best release at the time, showcasing a great maturity musically.  In the middle of the tour for Seasons, guitarist Clint Lowery quit the band to join his brother Corey in his band Dark New Day.  Sevendust recruited Sonny Mayo, formerly of Snot, as a replacement.  Since that time they released two more albums Next (2005) and Chapter VII:...

Wordspit, The Illest! One of the most up and coming Bands...

Wordspit, The Illest had been huge on America’s Got talent but they were voted off in the Semi-Finals and in our opinion should of been in the finals. They have a great fresh sound that is original, emotional, and full of energy. Their high energy music is amazingly developed and could possibly the next level of music. Even Rocawear, the clothing line has taken upon themselves to release viral videos of Wordspit, The Illest to celebrate the evolution of Hip Hop and their part in the Hip Hip world. Jay-Z and Rocafella Records developed Rocawear into one of the top, if not the number one urban clothing line. The main music artist Wordspit was born in East New York, Brooklyn by a Musician Father and a very young mother. This was the path laid out in the beginning of his life to become a great enthusiastic talent in lyrics. His rhymes and song have so much electricity he can bring down the lightning and humble some of the top artists in his field. And with his back up singers and band he almost seems unstoppable in the path to greatness. If you do not believe us check out this...

Michael Jackson Rest in Peace (1958-2009)...

Michael Jackson We Will Miss You! Michael Jackson will go down as the largest pop rock artist of all time up there with Elvis, and the Beatles even with all of his court allegations you still need to remember he brought together countries, charity driven, and gave anything his could to this country other than his sweet vocals. Michael gave the world his voice, song, and emotions, and with it he will be missed...
